Ameriprise Financial Awards $15,000 Grant to Chapter
Ameriprise Financial recently awarded a $15,000 grant to the National MS Society, Southern California Chapter, a Los Angeles-based non profit organization. The grant will support the Chapter’s vital programs and services, which improve the quality of life for the MS community, as well as cutting-edge research focused on finding better treatments and a cure.
The National MS Society, Southern California Chapter was recommended for the grant by Traci Engelman, client service manager in the Ameriprise financial advisory practice of Barry Engelman in Los Angeles. “Ameriprise Financial is dedicated to supporting organizations, like the National MS Society, that share our goal of improving lives and building strong communities,” explained Traci Engelman. “I’m proud to play a role in supporting this worthwhile cause.”
Leon LeBuffe, Southern California Chapter president of the National MS Society said, “We are thrilled that Ameriprise Financial has joined the movement to end multiple sclerosis. We are grateful for their continued support of our Walk MS campaign which raises much-needed awareness and funds to help the 14,500 southern and central Californians living with MS move their lives forward.”
Ameriprise Financial awards grants three times annually under the company’s three funding platforms: Meeting Basic Needs, Supporting Community Vitality and Volunteer Driven Causes.
The grant received by the National MS Society is one of 63 grants totaling more than $700,000 which were awarded to organizations across the country during the company’s recent funding cycle.
